Event Registration

Reserve Space on EMS (if applicable)

Anything outside of a lodge or cottage space requires a reservation in advance. The SpiderCentral registration will require an EMS Number in order to move forward.

  • What is EMS?

EMS, also known as the Event Management System, is where students can reserve space across campus. If you're looking to use a space outside of a chapter's lodge or cottage, you'll need to reserve a space for it on EMS!

The Events, Conferences, and Support Services office maintains and administers EMS to facilitate scheduling operations at the University. EMS is a facility and event management software application that powers the Centralized Scheduling Service (CSS), a web-based scheduling portal for faculty, staff, and students.

  • Who can use EMS?

Each organization is allowed to have up to three (3) Student Schedulers that have access to reserve space across campus. It's recommended that these individuals be the programmers, event planners, etc for your organization.

Any reservations made in EMS will need a matching submission in SpiderCentral for full meeting/event approval.

    SpiderCentral

SpiderCentral helps student leaders streamline their involvement by organizing, managing, and communicating with their members in one place.

One of the great strengths of SpiderCentral is that it is a self-service platform, allowing student leaders to manage their organizations and events independently while submitting all requirements for the Center for Student Involvement.

All activity - whether it’s a weekly meeting, major event, or a simple tabling session - must be submitted and approved through SpiderCentral. This ensures your group has what it needs to be successful, while also keeping everyone safe, informed, and covered by university policy.

Events hosted by fraternities and sororities may begin on the first day of classes and must conclude by 5PM on the last day of classes each semester.
