About Us
Kapwa is a youth-led program that explores Filipino and Filipino American history in order to understand, engage with, and push for change around the concerns of the Filipino-American community. Our youth study the conditions, choices, and decisions of Filipinos during that time that have shaped the Filipino communities we see today. We encourage them to explore various methods community members use to respond to the concerns of the Filipino American community throughout history. Such exploration will inform the implementation of their own community projects that continue to push for greater rights and welfare of Filipinos in the Philippines and in the diaspora.
