About Us
Welcome to the BARK Club page! The goal of BARK Club is to help students get connected to local Richmond animal shelters to volunteer. We currently work with Richmond SPCA and Richmond Animal Care and Control. Students volunteer at least 2 hours a month at the shelters predominantly with dog walking but some volunteers also take dogs on outings, runs, help with clean-up and admin work, or assist with cat care! Both shelters are around 20 minutes away so for students without cars, we help organize transportation with another volunteer. We also host fundraising events to raise money and awareness for the shelters. Our main event is an outdoor event in the spring with both pets and adoptable dogs.
