About Us
Fellow Spiders, The Arab Student Association is a space for both Arab students and non-Arab students interested in Arab culture and the Arabic language to meet and experience Arab culture through weekly meetings and large Arab Student Association-sponsored events each semester. Our weekly meetings typically consist of updates about the club, Arab news, and casual discussion while our larger biannual events consist of celebrating Arab culture through hosting a large Arab dinner party with Arab food and music for all who attend. We are also planning to host more medium-sized events this upcoming year such as monthly Arab movies nights where the club gets together to watch and discuss Arab films. Additionally, depending on the COVID-19 situation, we hope to host small excursions to the Arab bakery and other places in Richmond to explore the Arab influence locally. All students interested in the Arab world, regardless of ethnicity or area of studies, are welcome. Reach out to me by email if you have any questions.
